  1. A rare sunny day in the Mosel?

  2. It looks like umm maybe around the Alentejo, or Tras-Os-Montes in Portugal…

  3. Damn, or closer to o minho Abou Galego’s birthplace, eithe side of the Rio Minho, but more likely the Portuguese than the Galician side…

  4. Switzerland, in the Vaud region overlooking Lake Geneva (Lac Leman). Terraced vineyards are common there, since they make good use of arable land in a mountainous region.

  5. Austria, around Wachau.

  6. Duoro river valley in Portugal

  7. Germany,Rhein River

  8. Yeah, I think I would vote for the Duoro, upstream a ways.

  9. Bandol.

  17. Mosel!

  18. Definately Green Bay Wisconsin

  19. Looks to me like Hermitage hill.

  20. I would have to agree with Gary. Just kidding.

Hmmm … Though I have never been to either I would guess the Duoro or Mosel–looking at the angle I am partial to Mosel

  21. In Mendoza, Argentina, i think, because of new improvement there…

  22. […] Where was she? It turns out that she is Beate Knebel and she was gesticulating over the Röttgen vineyard on the banks of the lower Mosel. Beautiful, eh? Click on the photo above to see more satellite imagery of the area. The arrow is actually the address of the Knebel winery but Beate was a little down river (to the right) in the photo. […]
